Roman is a soloist, leader, chamber musician and session musician living in London. Since leading Ensemble7 on an international tour with Miloš Karadaglič in 2018, he has worked as Co-Leader for Royal Northern Sinfonia, Manchester Camerata, principal 2nd for the National Symphony Orchestra and lead the Jess Gillam Ensemble on tour.

Roman has worked with members of the Doric and London Haydn String Quartets, Kathryn Stott, Kolja Blacher, Ning Feng and Philippe Graffin. He gave the U.K. premiere of Steven Gerber’s ‘Three Songs Without Words’ for the London Sinfonietta and is a passionate chamber musician who regularly performs in festivals such as Budleigh, Chipping Camden, Resonances, Schiermonikoogs and Whittington.

Roman completed the International Artist Diploma at the RNCM and made his debut with the BBC Philharmonic in June 2024, playing Glière’s Violin Concerto. He has just recorded it with Kirill Karabits and BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra for Resonus Classics, with release set for January 2027. He has also released an improvised EP ‘Quay 5 Sessions’ with cellist Robert Wheatley.

gLIÈRE Recording project (2026)

A special couple of days recording Glière’s Violin Concerto and Romance in Glasgow City Halls with Kirill Karabits and BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra for Resonus Classics.
